Doris and Tracy are a couple of friends who spend a lot of time talking about food.
Doris, the professional foodie, is a food scientist by trade. She has spent over 25 years in the food industry researching new ingredients and enabling large food companies (places like “K” in Michigan and “G.M.” in Minnesota) to create new products. Doris excels at product development, and she brings that mindset to every meal.
Tracy, the unlikely foodie, is an IT professional. She has earned her “honorary food science degree” by associating with professional foodies, but she continues working on a “real” culinary arts degree at a local community college. When she’s not thinking about routers or switches, she’s thinking and talking about food.
We thought it would be fun to capture and share the characteristics of food we encounter.
